Job Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of all physical assets across our quick-service restaurant locations. This role ensures that our facilities are safe, compliant with regulations, and optimized to support a positive customer and employee experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills and a passion for operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee and coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of restaurant facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, refrigeration units, and kitchen equipment.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors for maintenance, cleaning, and repair services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely service delivery.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all locations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including OSHA, FDA, and local health department standards. Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance.
  • Budget Management: Manage the facilities budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies, such as equipment failures or structural issues, to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant managers and support teams to address facility needs, implement improvements, and support brand standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance Programs: Follow and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of assets.
  • Project Management: Support facility-related projects, such as renovations, remodels, or new store openings, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of facility management experience, preferably in the quick-service restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems. Familiarity with kitchen equipment (e.g., fryers, grills, freezers).
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include Certified Facility Manager (CFM), OSHA 30, or similar credentials in safety or facility management.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets and negotiating vendor contracts.
  • Availability: Willingness to travel to multiple locations and respond to emergencies outside regular business hours.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical inspections of facilities, including climbing ladders and accessing confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment with exposure to kitchen equipment and varying temperatures.

Pay Range - $78, $129,888.00 *The salary paid to a successful applicant will depend on the applicant's experience, qualifications, business needs and resources, and the candidate's location.
