The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team to establish, lead and grow our team. This unique role offers a holistic view of how a remote company functions. You will be an integral part of ensuring our team is supported and our processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process: post jobs, screen initial resumes, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
Help onboard new hires: prepare welcome packages, assist with digital paperwork, and ensure a seamless first-day experience.
Maintain and update employee records and databases (e.g., in BambooHR, Rippling, or similar HRIS) with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Support the coordination of virtual team events, meetings, and wellness initiatives.
Assist with HR-related projects, such as updating the employee handbook or conducting research on remote best practices.
Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)
Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program, pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Tech-Savvy Remote Worker: Proficient with Teams (Office and Chat). A quick learner of new software (HRIS, ATS, and other like-mined programs).
- Meticulous Attention to Detail: You pride yourself on accuracy, especially with cultures, sensitive data, and working successfully with people.
- Superb Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You're professional and responsive on Teams, email, and video calls.
- Highly Organized & Independent: You can manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work autonomously in a remote environment. You're proactive and know when to ask questions.
- Discretion & Trustworthiness: You understand the critical importance of handling confidential employee with the utmost integrity.
- A Curious Mindset and a genuine desire to learn how a business operates behind the scenes.
Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications)
Previous administrative, customer service, or office experience.
Familiarity with any major HRIS (e.g., BambooHR, Gusto) or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Job Type: Part-time
