We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Firewall Engineer to ensure the reliable performance of our network security services. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing firewall and network-related systems to ensure continuous and secure operations. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, partners, and vendors to deliver effective technical solutions and exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop in-depth knowledge of SGI's Network Security software suites and associated technologies.
- Perform advanced analysis and troubleshooting of network products and applications.
- Assist and train partners on the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of network security products and services.
- Provide timely, courteous, and professional technical support via ticketing systems and phone interactions.
- Collaborate with team members and vendor support teams to resolve complex technical issues and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Diagnose, reproduce, and document defects or bugs, working closely with vendor engineering teams to ensure resolution.
- Contribute to the creation of training materials and technical documentation to enhance internal knowledge sharing.
- Act as a mentor and technical resource for team members as needed.
- Stay informed on emerging network security products, tools, and industry best practices, and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
- 1–3 years of related experience in network or firewall engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and with external partners.
