Quality Assurance Specialist

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Specialist (Release/Change Management Lead) to govern release and change execution for Customs Border Protection network services. The Quality Assurance Specialist (Release/Change Management Lead) plans, coordinates, and validates changes end‑to‑end to protect service quality, minimize risk, and maintain compliance.
Ideal candidates combine strong ITSM process expertise with practical infrastructure knowledge, ensuring every change is engineered, tested, approved, communicated, and documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, package, schedule, and coordinate releases and changes for network services; manage end‑to‑end execution and validation.
- Ensure adherence to change policies/SOPs, approval workflows, and gating criteria; support CCB preparations as needed.
- Oversee configuration management activities and ensure CMDB accuracy for devices, tools, and service components.
- Define rollout/rollback plans, coordinate communications, stakeholder notice, and service readiness checks.
- Perform quality reviews and audits of change artifacts and outcomes; capture lessons learned and drive process improvements.
- Produce management reports on change volumes, success/rollback rates, risk/impact trends, and schedule adherence.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline (Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking).
- 8+ years in IT operations or network engineering with direct release/change management responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL change/release and configuration management practices and documentation standards.
- Experience with CMDBs, change tools, and version control, proven attention to detail and risk management.
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for required CBP background clearance; on‑site collaboration for change events as required.
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Certifications: ITIL v3/4; change/release management credentials; Cisco/CompTIA networking certifications.
- Experience running change governance in federal environments; familiarity with enterprise CAB/CCB structures.
- Demonstrated ability to improve change success rates and reduce risk via better testing, documentation, and controls.
Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
