Robert Half is partnering with a well-respected national nonprofit organization to hire a Senior Administrative Assistant to support both the Executive Office and Policy Department. This is a high-visibility role supporting executive leadership, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment and enjoys managing multiple priorities with polish and discretion.

About the Role

This position provides comprehensive administrative support to two critical areas of the organization. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working with senior leaders and volunteer committees. You'll assist the CEO's Chief of Staff with scheduling, travel logistics, meeting and event coordination, and high-level correspondence, while helping ensure smooth governance operations including board and committee meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level administrative support to the CEO and Policy Department
  • Manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings, and handle shifting priorities
  • Organize travel arrangements and create itineraries
  • Support planning and execution of board and committee meetings
  • Prepare meeting materials, agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items
  • Draft and review professional business correspondence
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Submit expense reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience
  • Experience handling scheduling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong grammar and attention to detail
  • Nonprofit experience highly preferred
  • Strong judgment, maturity, and professionalism
  • Comfortable adapting in a dynamic environment and juggling multiple priorities
