About us

We are seeking a full time Warehouse Team Lead to assist in our Cedar Rapids, Iowa fulfillment and returns warehouse.

At Anya's Shop, we aim to broaden the reach of barefoot shoe brands and individual shoemakers who are all about healthy and functional footwear. All of the shoes we offer in our online shop are flat, flexible, and made with an anatomical foot shape.

Job Responsibilities

Fulfillment & Returns Team Leadership:

  • Accountability for the order fulfillment and returns teams.
  • Lead by example to maintain a positive workplace environment.
  • Report to and work alongside the on-site Warehouse Manager.

Order fulfillment, Shipping, and Logistics:

  • Pick and pack orders, keeping consistent order fulfillment to within 1-2 business days from order receipt.
  • Optimize shipping costs with a thorough understanding of available outbound shipping options.
  • Return order processing, including inspection, cleaning, reshelving, and communicating with customer service team to facilitate refund processing.
  • Receiving incoming deliveries.
  • Facilitating daily package pickups with shipping carriers.

Warehouse Upkeep and Inventory Management:

  • Regular inventory upkeep and cycle counts.
  • Manage quarantined / damaged / defective inventory.
  • Keep the warehouse clean.

Other Duties:

  • Customer support as needed.
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests from customer service team regarding product details, returns status, etc.
  • Managing information technology equipment (computers, printers, etc.) as needed.
  • Participation in staff meetings as scheduled during normal business hours.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary to further the aims of the company.

Expected Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Estimated 2-3 weekend days per year for special events

Minimum Requirements

  • Prior warehouse experience
  • Experience leading a team
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to climb ladders and stepstools
  • Ability to work on your feet for the majority of the business day
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work location

*Experience in an e-commerce fulfillment setting is preferred but is not required. We will hire the person who is the right fit for our team.

Base Pay: $45, $47,500.00 per year
