Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications across various platforms, including mobile and web. This position involves collaborating with developers and product teams to identify defects, perform testing, and ensure that all software meets the highest standards of quality before release.

Duties

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications.
  • Conduct functional testing, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
  • Utilize automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit for test automation.
  • Perform mobile testing on both Android and iOS platforms to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analyze test results and document defects using tools like Jira or HP ALM.
  • Collaborate with development teams to conduct root cause analysis for identified issues.
  • Participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to enhance software delivery.
  • Engage in performance testing using LoadRunner and other relevant tools.
  • Conduct data analysis using SQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server to validate application functionality.
  • Assist in requirements gathering and business analysis to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for scripting automated tests.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services testing.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively.
  • Experience with databases (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB) and querying using SQL or PL/SQL.
  • Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure is advantageous.
