Job Title: VP / Sr. Director Operations

Report to Title:  CEO

Job Type: Exempt

Purpose

A VP / Sr. Director Operations is both a player and a coach that leads to make the Company's Operations vision a reality. The VP / Sr Director of Operations will oversee manufacturing, warehouse, quality, and purchasing functions, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will be accountable for leading cross-functional teams to deliver safe, high-quality medical devices while supporting company growth objectives. 

Duties and Responsibilities (Key Deliverables)

·      Lead day-to-day operations in manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and warehouse management, ensuring goals are met for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

·      Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives and market growth requirements.

·      Oversee quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and other relevant regulatory standards.

·      Manage supply chain and purchasing to ensure timely, high quality, and cost-effective procurement of materials.

·      Lead, coach, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

·      Partner with design and engineering for new product introduction, product transfer,  and scale-up.

·      Develop, monitor and report on operational performance metrics using KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

·      Develop and manage department budgets and capital expenditures.

·      Communicate effectively with executives, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance and operational alignment.

·      

Job Requirements

Education:

·      Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required with a Master's Degree preferred.

Experience:

·      Minimum 10 years' experience in medical device industry operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity overseeing manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions.

·      Demonstrated success in leading complex operations within an FDA-regulated (or equivalent) medical device environment.

·      Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, motivate, and develop high-performing multi-disciplinary teams.

·      Excellent communication, problem-solving, and change management abilities

Functional/Technical Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities Required:

·      Prior successful leadership in a small or growth-stage medical device company environment.

·      Lean/Six Sigma certification is preferred.

·      Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.

·      Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.
