The Role — Your Mission

You are the
narrative engineer
, the brand myth-maker, the strategist who wields voice as a weapon. As Director of Marketing, you will:

  • Define & own our brand story
    across Austin, Nashville, and future markets — forging a narrative that makes audiences
    crave
    what we do.
  • Architect integrated brand campaigns across digital, social, experiential, influencer, PR, and pop-up activations.
  • Lead bold experiential and content-first launches (venue openings, album releases, takeover residencies, marketing activations).
  • Oversee content, creative, paid media & brand partnerships—and ensure every touchpoint feels "of us."
  • Manage agencies, freelancers, and future internal team members.
  • Be onsite at our signature events, capturing, amplifying, and shaping brand energy live.
  • Use data, insight, and cultural intuition in equal measure to steer performance and direction.

Requirements

Who You Are — The Kind of Storyteller We Need

You're not looking for a "safe marketing gig." You crave a canvas. You thrive when the brief is blank, when constraints spark inventiveness, and when rollback isn't an option.

  • 8+ years doing brand / experiential / culture-forward marketing (hotel/hospitality, music, nightlife, or creative brands preferred).
  • Bold creative vision with execution muscle. You can write the concept
    and
    drive it to full launch.
  • Deep cultural fluency in scenes, artists, trends, influencers, and underground moments.
  • Experience with multi-channel storytelling: video, social content, live activations, influencer & PR.
  • Comfort leading people, projects, and ambiguity side-by-side.
  • Bonus: Trusted relationships with creatives, promoters, influencers, press, or agencies in relevant scenes.
