Summary of Primary Functions:

GT&E, LLC. is seeking an experienced Precision Construction Specialist. The top candidate will work with our highly skilled team to provide industry-leading customer service and support for John Deere SmartGrade and Topcon machine control solutions. The candidate will complete installations, calibrations, and troubleshooting for customers and work side-by-side with the Precision Construction Sales Specialists to deliver outstanding customer experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (Other duties may be assigned).

This position will partner with the C&F and CCE sales team to conduct successful demonstrations and assist in the sales/rental process.

  • Responsible for delivery, walkarounds and customer training at time of sale/rental.
  • Will need to learn and maintain a working knowledge of 2D and 3D machine control systems as it relates to John Deere equipment and the construction industry.
  • Complete the course to become a Precision Construction Certified Dealer Instructor.
  • Conduct Grade Management and Machine Control Training classes for customers.
  • Responsible for assisting in training sales reps, technicians and customers on John Deere SmartGrade, Topcon and Trimble machine control systems.
  • Responsible for demonstrating the Level Best line of Precision Grading attachments.
  • Provide training and diagnostic support to technicians as it relates to machine control repairs.
  • Responsible for checking machine calibrations and remote connectivity prior to machine deliveries.
  • Responsible for performing field calibrations on the full line of Precision Grading equipment and attachments.
  • Must complete all assigned John Deere University training.
  • Detailed job responsibilities are subject to change based on the introduction of new machine control technologies and keeping in alignment with Deere/GT&E goals.

Qualification: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Customer Service experience

Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of Grade Control Solutions and construction equipment technology.
  • Good skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for demonstration purposes.
  • Able to maintain a standard operating Driver's License.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-Motivated
  • Able to meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Able to complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete within time constraints.
  • Demonstrates openness to new procedures, technology and structure.
  • Extensive driving required.
