About the Role

Are you passionate about dogs and dedicated to their care and happiness? We are seeking Canine Care Specialists to join our team at the new doggy daycare and boarding facility in town, Canine Social Club CR. In this role, you'll provide exceptional daily care, supervision, and enrichment for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves animals, enjoys hands-on work, and thrives in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor up to 15 dogs to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being.
  • Engage in playtime and enrichment activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and exercise.
  • Observe and manage dog behavior, intervening appropriately to prevent conflicts or stress.
  • Feed dogs according to their dietary needs, owner requests, and administer medications as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by cleaning suites, play groups & yards, and commonly used areas regularly.
  • Assist with training sessions to encourage positive behavior and obedience in the groups.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, addressing client inquiries and sharing updates about their pets.
  • Safely handle dogs of all breeds and sizes using proper restraint and handling techniques.
  • Support smooth operations when dogs arrive and depart during each day.
  • Lift and transport supplies, crates, or animals safely as part of daily operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, compassionate, confident.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Proven experience in dog handling, kennel work, or animal care (daycare, boarding, rescue, or veterinary setting).
  • Familiarity with positive reinforcement and safe handling techniques.
  • Veterinary or grooming experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of animal behavior, health monitoring, and basic pet first aid.
