Position Overview:

As a Rec Therapist, you'll provide essential support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being through personalized care and assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare or physical therapy settings. Must possess current Rec Therapy License, CPR certification and proof of Liability Insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and implement therapeutic recreation programs tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of individual patients or groups
  • Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine appropriate recreational activities and interventions
  • Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with facility standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to establish treatment goals and coordinate comprehensive care
  • Facilitate group and individual activities designed to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being
  • Adapt recreational activities to accommodate various disabilities, limitations, and special needs
  • Educate patients and their families about therapeutic recreation techniques that can be continued at home

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred 1 year of therapy experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to assist clients with mobility
  • Dependable with excellent time management skills

Employment Details:

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Compensation: $55hr-$65/hr
  • Schedule: 1-40 hours per week
