JOB TITLE: Fund Accountant I

REPORTS TO: Controller

SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to assist with the routine day-to-day post-investment reporting and Fund accounting

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Including but not limited to the following:

o Prepare wire transfer requests for fund investments and operating activities as requested

o Track expenses and invoices for all Fund activities for monthly submission to Trustee

o Daily verification of cash activity across all Funds and monthly bank statement reconciliation

o Work with Fund Administration team / Investment team to investigate any open items as needed

o Prepare monthly payment reports for each Fund

o Support the annual audits and tax filings of the Funds by preparing PBC items as requested by each external team

o Submit weekly 1099-LS reporting to Securities Intermediary upon purchase

o Provide assistance to / work with the Fund Accounting team to complete the following:

  • Preparation of capital call and distribution notices
  • Workpapers and roll-forward schedules in support of the financial statements for quarter-end close process
  • Prepare journal entries for upload into the general ledger software

o Perform various projects for senior management team, as assigned

o Performs other duties, as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· No supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 0-2 years of experience in an accounting/finance role

· Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance preferred or equivalent experience

· Experience with Sage Intacct is preferred

KEY SKILLS:

· High level of attention to detail, accuracy in data entry

· Organized, deadline oriented, with solid time management skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong reconciliation and investigation skills

· Possess a natural curiosity and a desire to learn

· Ability to take direction, ask questions when needed, and complete tasks efficiently

· Proficient in Excel, Word, and data base tools

· Comfortable working in both an independent and team setting

· Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within changing priorities

REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

· Data entry into General Ledger system (Sage Intacct) and the investment database

· Work with accounting team to ensure data integrity and accuracy

· Work with others in the office on a variety of projects

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

SALARY RANGE:

· $65,000 - $77,500, paid bi-monthly (salary based on experience)

BENEFITS:

· 401k, 3% full match, 3-5% fifty percent match

· Up to 15 days paid time off per calendar year (accrued at a rate of 5 hours per pay period)

· 8 paid holidays per calendar year

· Up to 5 days of paid bereavement leave after 6 months of employment

· Up to 10 paid jury duty days, paid witness duty leave and paid voting leave
