Position Summary
The Traveling Inventory Specialist is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the company through coordination with Sales and Distributor partners. This position focuses on accurately accounting for inventory located off-site at various locations. The role requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Essential Job Functions
Conduct examinations and inspections of Nexxt Spine inventory at the physical location or site where the inventory is located.
Identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement. Replenish sets as required ensuring that trackers are properly installed in each set. Report any discrepancies to management to ensure that lost inventory is properly adjusted and/or lost items are properly charged to the respective distributor.
Ensure that the sets in field inventory warehouses match what is maintained in the company's inventory management system. Make adjustments as required.
Assist with maintaining in-house inventory warehouses and ensure that in-house inventory warehouses match what is maintained in the company's inventory management system. Make adjustments as required.
Coordinate with other departments to accurately account for set utilization and field inventory.
Ensure all customers and distributors have access to the most current instruments.
Build and strengthen sales and distributor relationships to support sustainable growth.
Maintain tracking systems and reports to optimize inventory.
Work closely with Set & Field Inventory Specialist to monitor and assess the performance of set management and field inventory to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and partnerships.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and responding with urgency.
Experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems preferred.
Background in medical devices or other FDA-regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Logistics preferred.
Job Type
Full-time (75% travel)
Monday–Friday schedule, with flexibility required to accommodate coverage across multiple time zones.
