The Information Technology department is seeking motivated, self-directed individuals to intern on the Application Delivery team. Information technology is crucial in insurance companies for optimizing operations, enhancing customer service, and managing data securely, making it an exciting field for computer science students who want to apply their skills in a dynamic and impactful industry. As a summer intern, you will work directly with experienced professionals to gain hands-on, relevant experience. Please note, this is a hybrid position, therefore, applicants must be within commuting distance of our Charlotte, NC location.  

• Develop, enhance, and support application solutions, providing production support and managing application operations;
• Monitor and manage IT infrastructure, including tools, databases, and end-user computing services;
• Or actively manage and monitor cybersecurity tools and systems, identifying and escalating security risks.
• Ensure adherence to IT standards and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly to support business processes and resolve issues.
• Work cross-functionally with peers and leaders to complete an Action Learning Project. 

Knowledge and Requirements

• Must be a current college student majoring in Computer Science or a related field to qualify (rising juniors and seniors, preferred).
• Be someone who takes ownership over work, has the ability to self-motivate and executes on delegated tasks.
• Demonstrates an interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution's requirements.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma required. Ideal internship candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level.
