What You Can ExpectAs a Senior Gas Trader, you report to Gas Trading Director and manage risk and trade the Northeast US Natural Gas markets for ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (EEMNA). You are responsible for managing risk and resources, and identifying and executing trading opportunities in the physical and financial markets. This position requires the flexibility and willingness to cover all Northeast US Natural Gas markets within provided jurisdictions. You will support physical assets, loads, and other transaction types. You must possess the ability to function well in an open-floor environment and collaborate well with team members.Risk manage Northeast US Natural Gas region transactions originated by EEMNAProvide market making to ENGIE North America retail business platformWork with EEMNA origination staffWork to develop EEMNA trading and origination strategyProvide Senior level leadership in the Gas and Power trading organization.Deploy trading capital Northeast US gas marketsProvide insight into US and Northeast gas region fundamentalsPrimary portfolio manager responsible for long-term portfolio managementWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in which you completed courses in finance, economics, mathematics or similar disciplineA minimum 7 years of relevant professional experienceA minimum 5 years of relevant US trading experienceAbility to lead team and provide direction to Trading and Origination staffDisciplined risk takerExcellent analytical skillsExperience working on structured origination transactions (renewables, retail)Clear and effective communicator. Willingness to engage in dialogue and debate with colleaguesCan work autonomously and be flexibleProficient in ExcelAdditional DetailsThis role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; working 4 days in the officeMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;CompensationSalary Range:$158,130 – $263,550 USD annuallyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
