Job Title: Primary Therapist (Part-Time)

About Us:

Verve Behavioral Health is proud to announce the opening of our new facility in Dupont Circle. We're looking for a compassionate and experienced licensed therapist to join our team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions (family therapy experience preferred but not required) for clients in the dedicated mental health track.
  • Facilitate evidence-based psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational groups for clients with primary mental health needs, with a focus on higher levels of care up to PHP.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, suicide risk evaluations, and safety planning within 24 hours of client admission.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing a spectrum of mental health concerns.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings and provide crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be fully licensed in the District of Columbia
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health, with a strong focus on mental health disorders; experience with co-occurring conditions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the 12-step model is a bonus (not required for this track).
  • Experience in couples and family therapy is strongly preferred.
  • If in recovery, a minimum of 1 year of sobriety is required.
