Software Engineer

As a Software Development Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes. Your expertise will drive project success and enhance technical capabilities.

About the Team

The engineering team is a collaborative and diverse group focused on delivering innovative software solutions. Their work includes core development, partnering with quality assurance. The team also work with cross-functional teams to maintain Zoom's user-friendly interfaces and infrastructure, while advancing technology to connect people globally.

• Contributing to the design and architecture of new software applications and features on both frontend and backend

• Designing and implement secure, efficient, and maintainable RESTful APIs or microservices

• Developing responsive, interactive user interfaces using JavaScript

• Writing unit tests, contribute to test automation. Debug issues and resolve defects in a timely manner.

• Participating in code reviews, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

• Working closely with UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional user interfaces.

• Bring 4 years or more experience as a Fullstack Engineer

• Understand of both Java back-end development and modern JavaScript (front-end frameworks).

• Possess "keep it simple" mindset, able to design and implement clean, efficient, and maintainable frontend architecture and code.

• Demonstrate great communication and teamwork abilities, drive features, and possibly mentor junior engineers.

• Demonstrate experience with collaborative documentation, AI technologies, and excellent product sense.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
