We pride ourselves on being professional, patient, and supportive as we help students become confident drivers.
Position Summary
We are currently seeking a part time Driving Instructor to join our team. This is a part-time role for weekday afternoons from 3pm-7pm. The right candidate will be reliable, patient, and comfortable working with teens and adults in the car for extended periods of time.
Pay & Training
- Training Pay: $15 per hour
- Instructor Pay (after training): $26 per hour
- Lessons are 3 hours each, conducted in ABC Driving School vehicles (gas included).
Responsibilities
- Pick up the assigned vehicle from the ABC Driving School office before lessons.
- Conduct behind-the-wheel driving lessons with students using school vehicles.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement to help students improve their driving skills.
- Enter lesson notes and updates into our online parent portal after each session.
- Return the vehicle to the office at the end of the day, ensuring it is washed and refueled.
- Maintain a professional and patient demeanor at all times.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Requirements
- Must be 25 years or older.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a clean driving record for the last 39 months.
- Patient, dependable, and comfortable being in a vehicle for several hours at a time.
- Teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience preferred (but not required).
