As a Background Field Investigator at CANDA Solutions, LLC, you will conduct federal background investigations while preparing detailed reports that adhere to Federal Investigative Standards, laws, and agency regulations. Your role involves working on diverse cases throughout your geographic area of responsibility, which means you'll be traveling to various places of employment, residences, and educational institutions. Are you the Background Field Investigator we're looking for?
To succeed as a Background Field Investigator at CANDA Solutions, LLC, candidates must possess a unique combination of skills and qualifications. Proficiency in conducting in-person, comprehensive one-on-one subject and source interviews is essential for obtaining information about individuals' backgrounds and character in accordance with agency guidelines. You will need to review appropriate records meticulously to resolve material issues and establish the qualifications of the subjects under investigation.

Strong organizational skills will enable you to produce thorough reports within strict timelines while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production metrics. As travel is a fundamental aspect of the role you must demonstrate adaptability in various environments and engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are crucial, allowing you to maintain professional relationships with government organizations, contractors, and law enforcement agencies, as well as produce detailed investigative reports.

A bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience and a valid driver's license, along with reliable transportation, are required to thrive in this dynamic position.

Knowledge And Skills Required For The Position Are

  • Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma with at least 1 year of the last 3 years working on a Federal BI contract
  • A current driver's license reliable transportation and willingness to extensively travel locally daily dependent on assignment location
  • A home office equipped with high-speed internet and fax line; laptop provided by government customer
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills such as typing detailed extensive and lengthy reports
  • Position requires candidates to complete the National Training Standards course
  • Conduct efficient and accurate investigations and to meet quality timeliness and production metrics
  • Travel throughout the geographic area of responsibility to conduct investigations
  • Engage in dialogue on a regular basis with managers and representatives at contractor facilities, various U. S. Government organizations, and law enforcement agencies to develop and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
  • Workload based on availability of cases in geographic area
