As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be the dynamic force behind the smooth operation of our property management team. You will engage with residents, oversee leasing activities, and ensure compliance with housing regulations while fostering a welcoming environment. What you'll do

  • Assist in managing daily operations of the property, ensuring adherence to Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
  • Handle leasing activities, including property showings, tenant applications, and lease agreements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, addressing inquiries and resolving conflicts efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry and filing systems while utilizing software like Yardi and OneSite for property management tasks.
  • Coordinate property maintenance requests and oversee facilities management to ensure a safe and pleasant living environment.
  • Support sales initiatives by upselling amenities and services to enhance resident experience.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the property management team on administrative tasks, including contract negotiations and legal documentation.

Experience

  • Proven experience in property management or real estate administration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 housing regulations is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of conflict management techniques and customer relationship management principles.
  • Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking maintenance requests.
  • Excellent phone etiquette combined with strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with residents and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation skills related to contracts and lease agreements is essential.
