The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Mason seeking Automation Engineers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement industrial automation systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, HMI, robotics). Program and configure control systems, including PLCs, servo drives, and vision systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with automated production lines and machinery. Optimize manufacturing processes through the application of automation, robotics, and advanced control strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and integrate solutions. Ensure all automated systems comply with safety standards, quality protocols, and operational specifications. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation systems, including schematics and operational procedures. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens), HMI/SCADA development, and industrial control systems. Experience with industrial robotics, servo/motion control, and automated material handling systems. Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet) and data acquisition methods. Proven ability in system integration, troubleshooting, and debugging complex automation machinery. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and industrial safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, ISO). Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced robotics applications (e.g., collaborative robots, vision-guided robotics). Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or SCADA development and integration. Proficiency in industrial networking protocols and IT/OT convergence concepts. Experience with industrial vision systems for quality control or guidance.
