The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking CNC Machinists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders). Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code. Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues and machine malfunctions. Maintain machine tools and equipment through routine cleaning and lubrication. Adjust machine parameters to achieve specified dimensions and tolerances. Load and unload raw materials and finished parts. Recommended Qualifications Experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code. Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges). Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application for quality control. Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine troubleshooting. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for fixture design, toolpath optimization, or simulation. Experience with advanced metrology equipment such as CMMs or optical comparators. Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills beyond routine operations. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
