Youll be based in a centrally located office thats easily commutable from Seattle, Bellevue, Kent, Renton, and surrounding communities. Note: You must be licensed to practice law in California or Washington, or licensed elsewhere and pending admission to the California or Washington Bar. The ideal candidate has 35+ years of civil litigation experience, including discovery, motion practice, oral advocacy, and depositions, and can work on-site full-time in Seattle with occasional travel. Now expanding into Washington, they are building a strong Seattle team to champion employees rights statewide while maintaining a culture that blends high standards with deep compassion for clients. Job Description Serve as a senior associate handling a docket of wage-and-hour, employment, and consumer class and representative actions in Washington and California state and federal courtsLead and manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparationDraft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions, oppositions, and complex briefs in state and federal courtsTake and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts, and prepare clients and witnesses for testimonyConduct sophisticated legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law and provide clear, strategic analyses to the team and clientsCollaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to manage class cases, representative actions, and high-volume litigation efficientlyCommunicate regularly with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel, and represent clients in hearings, conferences, and settlement negotiationsMentor junior attorneys and support staff, contributing to the training and development of the Seattle office Qualifications Licensed to practice law in California or Washington, or licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and pending admission to the California or Washington Bar35+ years of civil litigation experience, with substantial experience in discovery, motion practice, oral advocacy, and taking/defending depositionsPrior experience with class actions, complex litigation, or wage-and-hour/ employment cases is strongly preferredStrong written advocacy skills with a track record of drafting high-quality motions, briefs, and discoveryConfident in court, at depositions, and in negotiations, with excellent analytical and strategic thinking skillsAbility to manage a busy litigation docket, meet strict deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, impact-driven environmentProfessional, steady, and reliable work history, with mature judgment and client-facing skillsWillingness to travel occasionally for hearings, depositions, and case-related needs Why Youll Love Working Here Youll play a central role in building and shaping the firms Seattle presence and Washington wage-and-hour practiceYoull work with a collaborative team of experienced plaintiff-side litigators who value mentorship, high-quality work, and long-term growthYoull receive competitive pay in the $130,000$250,000 range depending on experience, plus medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and the opportunity for bonus compensation in a firm that is actively expanding across multiple states JPC-495 Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceRequirements: Must be barred in CA or WA.
