Job Summary

Shift hours 4 pm to 12:30 am

The truck loader loads and unloads materials from trucks and moves materials within the plant and yard.

Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including the following, other duties may be assigned):

Read work order or follow oral instructions to load/unload material onto/from trucks. Inspect each load against paperwork and correct any problems noticed.

Load material, from truck or pallet, onto trays, racks and shelves

Secure lifting attachments to material, transports load to destination or signals crane/hoisting operators to move load to destination

Count, weigh and records material handled from work order

Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products

Required Skills

  • Prior related experience preferred
  • Ability to read and write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
  • Ability to communicate information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings to co-workers, managers and customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic knowledge of aluminum/stainless steel products a plus
