Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Associate to pick and package merchandise for shipment through parcel freight carriers. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Job Duties:

  • Review and pick products for orders as assigned by the Team Leader
  • Package picked products to ensure durability and maintain the integrity of the product throughout the shipping and transportation process
  • Packages made to order items as they are available and as assigned
  • Complete all required paperwork for shipments assigned to them
  • Enter shipments into the appropriate parcel portal system
  • Note and communicate all shortages to Packaging and Production personnel
  • Load and unload trucks as they arrive and in a timely fashion
  • Process the paperwork for incoming goods
  • Work with the Operations Administrator to assist in the receiving process
  • Assist with the processing of LTL shipments as needed
Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a working knowledge of materials and knowledge of small parcel shipping processes and the best practices to ensure shipment integrity
  • A competent and licensed powered lift truck operator is preferred
  • Must have the ability to multi-task while having a positive attitude in a busy working environment
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to pay a high attention to detail is required
  • Must be able to follow the employee handbook on code of conduct, protecting confidential information, supporting organizational initiatives, production, and our core values
  • Must possess the ability to lift up to 80 pounds repeatedly and stand for up to 7 hours
