Accounts Payable Assistant

Charlotte based service company is seeking a n Accounts Payable assistant and sourcing assistant. This person will support the AP process as part of the accounting team. They will also support carious activities including requests for quotes, prepare and input purchase orders and track order status
Th is is a direct hire position paying an hourly rate of $23-26/hr. with benefits based on experience located on the westside of Charlotte.
Key Responsibilities:
- Intake and organize all AP related items by email, mail, and phone.
- Two-way and Three-way Vendor Invoice matching.
- Ensure accuracy of check payments and mailing of payment vouchers.
- Setup, review, and update vendor records as needed.
- Assist vendors and internal clients with purchasing and payment questions.
- Assist in supporting various purchasing activities; request for quotes, prepare and input purchase orders and tracking order status .
- Generate open PO report, review PO accuracy, communicate actionable items , trace progress, and report completion.
- Generate and prepare monthly inventory reports, trace progress, and communicate compliance.
- Prepare, maintain and review PO templates , reports and price list.
- Contact vendors for purchasing and issue resolution.
- Support the strategic sourcing manager or AP manager with various projects and assignments.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while keeping attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Skills to be reactive and proactive, working efficiently and flexibly to deliver results.
- Capable of building trust, good working relationships and communicate effectively with your colleagues and across departments.
- Creative mind to explore new ideas and drive continuous improvement, not only to do your best work but also to develop your capabilities and acquire new skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft O365 - Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Familiar with supply chain, purchasing, and accounting processes.
