Business Systems Analyst

Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 12 Month Contract

Summary:
  • The Business Systems Analyst is a key member of the Center of Excellence (CoE) group, whose mission is to clarify, quantify, optimize, and advise the organizations support services to maximize performance, customer satisfaction, and value to ensure profitability, through applications, workflows, reporting, and products
  • The CoE is part of Product Support Group (PSG), including technical support, technical training, technical publications, and the Total Support Center (TSC) which manages support inquiries
Responsibilities:
  • Use Power BI to create, maintain, and distribute data reports using a variety of data sources (SQL server, Snowflake, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Maintain SharePoint sites and content
  • Maintain Microsoft Teams sites and content
  • Use Power Platform to create innovative solutions (workflows, automations, forms, etc.)
  • Create and maintain documentation (work instructions, procedures, best practices, etc.)
  • Perform data analysis, validation, and quality audits on datasets
  • Participate in regular User Group meetings (BI User Group, SharePoint User Group, CRM User Group, etc.) for information gathering, collaboration, and identifying opportunities
  • Deliver informative, well-organized presentations
Qualifications:
  • Must possess postsecondary education with emphasis in data, data analytics, data sciences, statistics, or comparable focus (4 yrs of direct work experience may substitute for the education requirement)
  • Must have demonstrated experience with Power BI Desktop or comparable software (Microsoft Power Platform experience is highly valued)
  • Must have demonstrated experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Must have demonstrated experience communicating complex data with report visualizations and presentations
  • Must possess strong analytical, prioritization, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have demonstrated SQL, DAX, or equivalent reporting skills (Power BI reporting preferred)
  • Candidate should have a desire to learn
  • Power BI is constantly updated and the person in this role, will be responsible for staying on top of these constant updates.
  • Candidate should be a self-starter, motivated to learn or have some experience in using any reporting software, such as Tableau, SQL, DAX, or equivalent reporting skills
  • Position is more of a maintaining and administrative in nature
  • Must have excellent communication skills and good PowerPoint skills for presenting to internal teams
Education / Experience:
  • Recent grad or entry level candidate who has been working on the above listed certifications on their own, with no more than 5 years of experience
  • Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint as opposed to candidate having a degree
