MercyOne is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon for a full-time inpatient role in Mason City, Iowa. This position offers the opportunity to provide advanced orthopedic surgical care within collaborative, patient-focused hospital setting, focusing on acutely injured patients. Opportunity Highlights:

• Provide Ortho/trauma care for acute emergencies and hospitalized patients

• Emergency surgical intervention for complex injuries, acute musculoskeletal trauma, fractures complex and open, joint dislocation, ligament injuries, postoperative care, multidisciplinary collaboration and participating in trauma rounds and care planning.

• DaVinci Xi robot platform

• 7on/7off; 14 days/month, 12 hrs onsite/12 hrs on call

• Onsite medical imaging and pharmacy

• EMR EPIC

It provides comprehensive orthopedic services, including trauma care for fractures, dislocations, and complex musculoskeletal injuries. MercyOne North Iowa serves a broad region across North Iowa, with orthopedic and trauma services extending to communities such as Algona, Charles City, Forest City, and more. This regional reach ensures that patients across rural and urban areas have access to high-quality trauma and orthopedic care.

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center , Mason City, is a 346-bed full-service community health system with Level III trauma center. With 300+physicians and providers, it serves more than 400,000 inpatients and outpatients each year. Serves as a teaching institution with residencies in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology fellowship to name a few. MercyOne North Iowa holds management agreements with seven rural primary care hospitals making it the premier rural health care delivery network of northern Iowa and southern Minnesota.
