You must have 2+ years of experience with pay balls, AIA billing, lien waivers, percentage of completion, WIP, and construction software such as Vista Viewpoint, Sage Timberline, etc

Are you an experienced Project Accountant with a passion for the construction industry and a knack for numbers? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Permanent Project Accountant for New Construction Development. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growing organization, where you will play an integral role in the financial management of our numerous construction projects.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Project Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial management of our new construction development projects. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing project costs and ensuring they are in line with budgets.
2. Preparing and submitting pay applications and AIA billings.
3. Managing Work in Progress (WIP) schedules.
4. Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of lien waivers.
5. Utilizing Vista Viewpoint, Sage, Timberline, and other relevant software for project accounting and financial management.
6. Implementing the percentage of completion method for revenue recognition.
7. Collaborating with project managers to monitor project progress and ensure financial accuracy.
8. Providing project cost reports and financial updates to the senior management team.
9. Ensuring compliance with AIA G702 and other relevant standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role would have:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Accountant in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in Vista Viewpoint, Sage, Timberline, and other relevant project accounting software.
4. In-depth knowledge of WIP, lien waivers, percentage of completion, Project Cost, pay apps, AIA billings, AIA, AIA G702.
5. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
