In the role of Account Executive, you will be equipped with the tools, resources, and support necessary to drive growth in Hybrid Cloud Managed Services and Professional Services, while shaping the future of our cloud solutions.
As a driven and intellectually curious hunter, you have a passion for cloud technology and a proven track record of building a pipeline from scratch, engaging with executive buyers, and consistently converting opportunities into closed bookings. You thrive in complex and consultative sales environments, possess strong communication skills and executive presence, and demonstrate the discipline to manage a high-performance sales funnel with a 5:1 pipeline-to-quota ratio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Sales Execution & Pipeline Development: Utilize your hunting skills and expertise in direct sales to develop new pipeline, drive outbound prospecting efforts, and convert qualified opportunities into closed business across our cloud operations and consulting services.
- Sales Performance & Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, leveraging our competitive commission plan and a robust sales funnel.
- Pipeline & Deal Management: Build and manage a strong enterprise pipeline, effectively navigating opportunities through all stages of the sales cycle while maintaining a 5:1 funnel-to-quota ratio.
- Cloud Ecosystem & Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate relationships within the AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud ecosystems to generate new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Multi-Channel Sales Execution: Lead cloud and professional services sales through various channels including Cox Business, indirect partners, internal business units, and industry events.
- Consultative & Value-Based Selling: Identify client needs, propose customized hybrid cloud and IT transformation solutions, and effectively communicate the business value of our offerings through a consultative, outcome-based approach.
- CRM & Data-Driven Insights: Use Salesforce to track prospects, manage opportunities, and provide actionable insights to improve forecasting and sales strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Negotiation: Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, professional services, customer success) to ensure seamless service delivery while negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Industry & Competitive Awareness: Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive positioning to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of Sales experience, OR a Master's degree and 4 years of experience, OR a Ph.D. with 1 year of experience, OR 10 years of experience without a degree.
- Proven success as a hunter in building pipeline through outbound activity, targeting net-new logos, and driving complex enterprise IT or cloud deals to closure.
- Experience in selling IT, cloud, or managed services solutions to decision-makers, with a solid record in new business acquisition and value-based selling.
- Proficiency in selling through both indirect and direct sales organizations.
- Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time for customer meetings, presentations, QBRs, and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience leveraging AWS and/or GCP partner programs for business development.
- Industry expertise in Healthcare, Financial Services, SaaS, or E-Commerce is highly desirable.
Compensation:
The compensation includes a base salary of $101,800.00 - $152,600.00, with the exact rate varying based on location and candidate experience. This role also offers an annual incentive/commission target of $85,000.00.

We provide eligible employees with flexible vacation policies that prioritize their duties and overall wellness, alongside seven paid holidays each year. Employees can also enjoy up to 160 hours of paid wellness time annually, with options available for bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty, volunteer time, military leave, and parental leave.
