Job Description

Job Title: Machine Operator / Material Handler
Position OverviewWe are seeking dependable and motivated Machine Operators and Material Handlers to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, a great work ethic, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Machine Operator Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor machinery and equipment while following all safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Handle and package steel coils and sheets efficiently and safely.
  • Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
  • Utilize hand tools and equipment for tasks related to the production process.
  • Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Adhere to production schedules, quality standards, and workflow priorities.
Machine Operator Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Steel Process Technician, Machine Operator, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of machining processes and production techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection methods.
  • Ability to perform basic math and measurement calculations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent attendance and a positive attitude are essential.
Material Handler Responsibilities
  • Unload inbound raw materials and work-in-progress (WIP) efficiently and accurately.
  • Store materials in designated locations and maintain proper organization of inventory.
  • Pull and deliver raw materials to production equipment as required.
  • Create shipping documents and load outbound trucks using a forklift.
  • Safely operate forklifts and complete daily safety inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all work instructions and company safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Material Handler Requirements
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to learn.
  • Steel toe work boots required.
