Principal Fullstack Engineer (Hybrid - Seattle)

Comp band: $190-220k, DOE

Hybrid onsite 3x a week, downtown Seattle

As Principal Fullstack Engineer, you'll lead major technical initiatives and shape the foundation of our client's engineering strategy. You'll architect robust full-stack systems, establish high standards across the organization, and build customer-centric workflows that deliver exceptional coaching experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive cross-functional engineering projects and set technical standards
  • Architect scalable backend systems, APIs, and distributed infrastructure
  • Translate complex business requirements into elegant, user-first solutions
  • Mentor engineers and elevate code quality and development practices
  • Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver impactful features
About You
  • 8+ years of professional development experience
  • Proven track record leading large, cross-organizational engineering efforts
  • Deep expertise in backend development, API design, and system architecture
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern backend frameworks
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Bonus Experience:
  • Familiarity with LLMs, generative AI, and AI-powered applications
  • Experience with Material UI, Next.js, and NoSQL databases
  • Background in speech/audio processing and real-time communication systems
  • Experience scaling engineering teams and hiring top talent
