AE2S is seeking a Process Engineering Technician Intern for its Maple Grove, MN office. We are a fast-paced, team-oriented and technologically advanced engineering consulting firm. If you are seeking a forward-thinking culture and opportunity for advancement, look no further Join our growing firm now The Process Engineering Technician Intern will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project team members to design a variety of water and wastewater treatment engineering projects. Project types include but are not limited to treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, pipelines, and other municipal and industrial infrastructure.
A Snapshot of the Experience You May Gain
- Use established CADD standards to prepare electronic drawings from marked-up plans and/or verbal instruction by engineers/designers.
- Perform design drafting of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and various other facilities.
- Organize and schedule work to accomplish goals on projects within established budgets and timelines.
- Coordinate with engineers and other design team members.
- Complete drawing reviews as needed.
- Organize and maintain project files.
- Anticipated Starting Salary: $21-$23 per hour DOE (Compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, etc.) Position will remain posted until filled
Required
- Working towards an Associates degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or related field
- Experienced in AutoCAD
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work occasional overtime
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
- Experience with Revit design software
- 2+ year's experience with AutoCAD
- Design abilities
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Primary functions require physical ability and sufficient mobility to work in an office setting
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement
- Fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard
- May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
- May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
