In a Medicare-certified Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) specializing in same-day outpatient procedures, the Director of Nursing at this Ambulatory Surgery Center will support care in a fully equipped operating room designed for safe, efficient surgery without overnight stays, backed by established protocols for seamless transfers to nearby hospitals to ensure continuity, quality, and patient safety throughout the surgical experience.
Reporting to the ASC Administrator and partnering closely with the Medical Director, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and administrative leadership, the Ambulatory Surgery Center Director of Nursing will oversee all clinical and administrative operations of the Operating Room, supervise and support nursing and surgical staff, ensure compliance with CMS, AAAHC, OSHA, and IDPH standards, manage scheduling, training, and performance evaluations, direct inventory and supply management, lead quality improvement and infection prevention, optimize workflows, manage budgets and resources, and foster a positive, efficient environment with friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare team.
