Maintenance Mechanic Level B

Factory Location: Woodridge, IL
Compensation: $41.03 / hour
6-8% shift differential paid for applicable hours worked
Shift: Sunday - Thursday 9pm - 5:30am
Must be available to work holidays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine preventative and corrective maintenance and testing on equipment.
• Perform various maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and major overhauls on all equipment.
• Identify waste reduction opportunities in processes and assist in relevant projects.
• Engage in preventative maintenance programs to optimize operational costs.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, and test mechanical, electrical, and electronic components to diagnose failures.
• Assist in installations, retrofits, and upgrades involving vendors and contractors.
• Communicate, coach, and train colleagues to enhance the team's productivity in resolving equipment failures.
• Support the NCE initiatives through various improvement and analysis projects.
• Maintain accurate records of all testing and repairs in the preventative maintenance logs.
• Recommend equipment for inclusion in the preventative maintenance programs and conduct relevant tasks to identify potential mechanical and electrical issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and utility systems.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and contractors as necessary.
• Areas of responsibility include production support, mechanical room, water processing, boiler room, wastewater treatment, and water chemical treatment programs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with high and low-pressure compressors, chillers, and water treatment is preferred.
• Technical expertise in compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical systems, hydraulics, and water processing is a plus.
• Knowledge of bottling equipment, preventative maintenance programs, and SAP systems is advantageous.
• Demonstrated strong mechanical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with staff at all levels.
• Proficient in electrical knowledge of single and three-phase power, including diagnostics and motor replacements.
• Ability to independently manage projects with minimal supervision.
• Ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Strong organizational and professional ethics with all personnel.
• Able to read and analyze computer-generated reports accurately.
• Capable of physical inspections (climbing, reaching, etc.).
• Proficient with mechanical drawings and OEM technical prints.
• Good computer navigation skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Available for call-ins or adjusting work schedules to support production as required.
• Collaborate with the Safety department to achieve a zero-injury workplace.
• Maintain a positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.

Excellent English language skills are required for effective communication with customers, exceptional service, and collaboration with team members.
