Position Description

Join our team as an experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder

  • Hourly Pay: $27.50 per hour
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Earn up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-on Bonus: $1250 paid after 30 days and $1250 after 90 days
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of diesel engines and routine maintenance
  • Two or more years of combined classroom training and work experience preferred
  • Valid CDL Class A preferred; must be able to obtain within 6 months
  • Pass a drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and diagnostics
  • Install and replace defective components
  • Interact with customers to determine service needs
  • Maintain compliance with safety and federal regulations
  • Support other operational duties as required
