Compensation: $90-100K+

What you'll be doing (duties of this position):
  • Prepare detailed, accurate project estimates from plans and specs
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and field crews to align estimates with reality
  • Perform material take-offs, quantify cost factors, and analyze blueprints
  • Recommend value engineering solutions that benefit both client and company
  • Manage projects through key milestones, ensuring timelines and costs stay on track
  • Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure best pricing and materials
  • Maintain regular client communication and oversee final invoicing and closeout
What you'll need to be considered (requirements):
  • Experience estimating commercial construction projects up to $10M
  • Knowledge of and experience with acoustical ceilings (ACTs), drywall, framing, painting, and carpentry
  • Familiarity with estimating software and construction management systems
  • Able to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
  • Comfortable with client interaction and maintaining a professional, polished presence
  • Must be local to Birmingham or surrounding area - no relocation offered
