We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our mission and enhance our platform for both GMs and players.

About the Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at StartPlaying, you'll contribute to product experiences that significantly impact both players and GMs. You'll influence the architecture of our platform, develop new features, and optimize systems to support our evolving company.

What You'll Do

1. Lead the design and development of scalable and maintainable systems across our technology stack.
2. Take ownership of projects from design to deployment, leveraging real user feedback for improvements.
3. Collaborate closely with product designers and customer support to create delightful, high-performance user experiences.
4. Promote best practices in system design, code quality, observability, and testing.
5. Set the bar for well-documented code and clear architecture to aid your teammates in their workflows.

About You

• 7+ years of experience delivering high-quality software products.
• Proficient in full-stack web development (Node, TypeScript, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, AWS) and eager to expand your knowledge.
• Bonus points for experience with Prisma, BigQuery, Vercel, marketplace systems, payment infrastructure, or scheduling software.
• A proven track record in leading technical initiatives and driving architecture discussions, especially around API design.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on UI and UX, delivering pixel-perfect solutions with user empathy.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members, clarifying complex problems and creating straightforward technical documentation.
• Self-driven, capable of working independently while aligning closely with user needs and driving toward clear outcomes.
• Self-aware, humble, kind, and dedicated to maintaining high standards without ego while fostering a spirit of curiosity in collaboration.
