Enterprise Medical Director, Genomic Pathology Services Nashville, TN JOB SUMMARY: The Enterprise Medical Director of Genomic Pathology Services will report to the Chief Genomics Officer (CGO). This position is responsible for providing enterprise medical leadership to molecular pathology and cancer genomics services, under the direction of the CGO. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES LEADERSHIP FUNCTIONS Responsible for leading and executing the medical strategy of Molecular Pathology and Cancer Genomics services in collaboration with CGO and other leaders spanning the operational, medical, scientific, and commercial teams. Provide strategic input to help improve the delivery of Molecular Pathology and Cancer Genomics Services at scale. Oversees sign out of molecular pathology and cancer genomics assays as defined by the CGO to optimize physician productivity. In collaboration with the CGO, lead the implementation of educational efforts including but not limited to molecular tumor boards and technical updates. Enhance awareness of the clinical utility of Molecular Pathology and Cancer Genomics assays in order to enhance test utilization across the PathGroup enterprise network. Facilitate test protocol optimization at a local level in accordance with clinical best practices and medical guidelines. Assist with direct client engagement efforts in collaboration with the Commercial and Health Systems leadership teams, which may require travel. CLINICAL FUNCTIONS Sign out of molecular oncology and cancer genomics assays to include NGS, FISH, single analyte testing, and other assays as deemed appropriate. Tissue assessment and test optimization for enterprise cases accessioned at Airpark via digital pathology. Sign out of CDX IHC assays as related to the practice of Precision Oncology. Assist with managing the clinical service workload distribution for Airpark molecular pathology and oncology services. Assist with enterprise client interactions and consultations related to Airpark molecular pathology and oncology services. Assist with questions and consultations from the Airpark laboratory operations team.
