Network Analyst
Location: Houston TX - 2 days/week onsite
Duration: 6-12 months
The Network Analyst will be a member of Global Networking team at the company's Houston, office reporting to the Manager - Network Services
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Act as a resource for reported network performance or application performance issues
- Manage and support the network monitoring and configuration management software
- Provide technical support for field networks to include industrial switches, routers, and wireless bridges
- Utilize client's service portal to manage and create service requests, outages, and change requests
- Identify innovative ways to utilize existing applications and technologies
- Forecast and coordinate management of change for scheduled maintenance weekends Effectively communicate with end users and peers around the world
- Troubleshooting experience with large enterprises
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to clearly articulate complex issues
- Customer interfacing capabilities
- Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewall and wireless hardware
- Experience with SolarWinds Network Management suite of applications
- Experience with Riverbed WAN optimization appliance, Cascade and Net Profiler is a plus
Experience with Gigamon, Wireshark and packet level analysis and application performance root cause analysis is a plus - Experience using Splunk to help with troubleshooting is a plus
- Experience troubleshooting EIGRP, BGP, Firewalls, IPSEC/SSL VPNs, Spanning tree and network security
- Experienced with software defined networking
- Experience with Cisco ISE/NAC is a plus
- Working knowledge of Cisco Collaboration products
- Experience working in Oil and Gas Industry - specifically with field support technicians
