ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer, you will:

  • Specify and design electrical/electronic components and systems (including wiring harnesses and cable assemblies) based on system or subsystem requirements.
  • Demonstrate designs meet requirements through modeling, simulation, analysis, or testing.
  • Make technical decisions that may affect project completion.
  • Prepare engineering documentation such as:
  • Specifications
  • Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • Design documents
  • Technical/test reports
  • Technical data packages
  • Prepare cost estimates and schedules for electrical design projects.
  • Prepare and manage Change Notices, Engineering Change Proposals, and Engineering Orders.
  • Monitor procurement, manufacturing, and delivery of components to ensure schedules are met.
  • Guide drafters and designers in creating clear, releasable documents.
  • Provide status reports to supervisors, project engineers, and customers as needed.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4 years of experience with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree/experience)
  • Military ground vehicle wiring harness and cabling design experience
  • Experience with electrical/electronic systems of military ground vehicles
  • Working knowledge of Visio Technical, Creo, or equivalent design tools
  • Knowledge of system, subsystem, and component specification development and verification
  • Knowledge of low-voltage (28Vdc) power distribution and management (Solid State Power Controller/Programmable Power Controller)
  • Experience with sensor/transducer input/output signal management
  • Smart Display Unit experience
  • Working knowledge of military electrical connectors and cabling specifications
  • Knowledge of SAE J1939 CANBus, MIL-STD-1553, 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet Protocols
  • Experience integrating military communication and antenna systems, including BFT, SINCGARS, DAGR, and CREW2
