Description

Join our dynamic team as an Electric Transmission Line Engineer and tackle challenging problems in electric transmission We’re looking for a motivated individual to contribute to electric transmission line design projects for extra high-voltage (EHV) systems, both overhead and underground, for some of the largest utilities in the country.

The successful candidate will:

  • Implement NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other applicable standards in engineering and design of electrical systems.
  • Work on voltage conversion, capacity projects, and infrastructure replacements.
  • Perform engineering analyses and prepare bidding documents.
  • Draft plans and specifications along with material procurement and construction documents.
  • Collaborate with our multi-person team and interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.

Work Location: Charlotte, NC area; hybrid schedule requires residing in the greater Charlotte area.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's, or 1+ years experience with a Master's degree.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and teams.
  • Client office work and periodic travel may be required.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with TOWER is a plus.
  • EIT or PE certification is desirable.
  • Familiarity with LPILE, FAD, Mathcad, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and GIS is advantageous.

Pay Range: Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00

The pay range is a guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Factors influencing salary include job responsibilities, education, experience, and internal equity.
