Senior Accounting Manager

Our company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to join our leadership team. This position will oversee the accounting functions for a large, family-owned business with over 500 employees, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence across all departments.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review journal vouchers (JVs), financial reports, and monthly account reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Assist with treasury management activities, including cash flow forecasting and bank relationship management.
- Oversee tax compliance processes and coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Administration of insurance programs and employee benefits for all companies.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to executive management to support strategic decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong knowledge of GAAP principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills suited to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
