What You'll Do:

  • Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and support a team of skilled developers skilled in distributed microservices and full-stack systems to create solutions that fulfill regulatory requirements.

  • Stay informed about the latest technology trends, engage in experimentation with new tools, and contribute to both internal and external tech communities while mentoring others in the engineering space.

  • Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to enhance their financial well-being.

  • Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, alongside Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes and various AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internship experience).

  • At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in people management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.

  • 9+ years of experience with at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.

  • 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.

  • 7+ years of experience in people management.

  • 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.

Compensation: The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note, this information is specific to candidates working in McLean, VA: $225,400 - $257,200 for Senior Manager, Software Engineering.
