In the role of Data Science Intern, you will support ongoing initiatives in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Automation. It's an excellent job for people who want hands-on experience in building and deploying data-driven solutions, including exposure to Agentic AI systems and Generative AI technologies that enhance business efficiency and innovation.

Placement Details:

This is a 3 month placement starting in January 2026, located in Houston, TX.

What you will do:

  • Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing for AI/ML projects.
  • Support development, testing, and evaluation of machine learning models.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and generate actionable insights.
  • Document workflows and maintain code repositories using Git.
  • Collaborate with team members on automation and AI-driven solutions.
  • Research and stay updated on latest AI/ML trends, tools, and best practices.
Who you are:
  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (experience with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
  • Understanding of data science and machine learning concepts (classification, regression, clustering, Natural Language Processing).
  • Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques and Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge's core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
Working Conditions:
  • Office based role, located in Houston, TX
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
