Key Responsibilities
  • Foster trust and respect among team members.
  • Ensure an inviting atmosphere where customers feel welcome, valued, and appreciated by addressing inquiries about our frozen food products.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of products in the Frozen Foods department to provide insightful recommendations and suggestions.
  • Keep customers informed about special promotions and frozen food deals.
  • Recommend items based on customer needs and preferences to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Check product freshness and handle outdated items appropriately.
  • Label, stock, and conduct regular inventory of department merchandise.
  • Report any discrepancies in ordering and shipping to the department manager.
  • Maintain a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions, including seasonal and special ads.
  • Strictly adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain proper cooling temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping accurate temperature logs.
  • Support safety protocols by identifying unsafe conditions and reporting them to management.
  • Engage in preventative maintenance by inspecting equipment regularly and notifying the appropriate personnel about necessary repairs.
  • Report incidents involving customers or employees promptly.
  • Notify management about any safety risks, illegal activities, or potential fraud.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment, even during high-pressure situations.
  • Handle conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business matters.
  • Follow directions and seek help when necessary to address customer and business concerns.
  • Provide support to a diverse range of customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Meet the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Desired:

  • Previous retail experience.
  • Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
