Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with a minimum of 5 years of experience, a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of accounting functions in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful insights to management.
Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Identify process improvements and contribute to efficiency initiatives.
Utilize advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) to analyze and report financial data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
5+ years of professional accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas required).
Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
