Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead diverse technology projects and mentor a talented team of developers specializing in distributed microservices and full stack systems to ensure we meet regulatory and operational requirements.

  • Stay ahead of technology trends and share your enthusiasm for learning new tools, while actively participating in technology communities and mentoring fellow engineers.

  • Collaborate with product managers to design and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that help millions of people achieve their financial goals.

  • Work with various programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, as well as open source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and a wide range of AWS tools.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • 1+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.

  • 7+ years of experience with Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.

  • 2+ years of experience with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

  • 4+ years of experience using open source frameworks.

  • 1+ years of experience in managing teams.

  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship for employment authorization or immigration support. The salary for this role ranges from $193,400 to $220,700 in McLean, VA, and from $175,800 to $200,700 in Richmond, VA. Compensation may also include performance-based incentives.
