As a Lead Data Architect on our Data team, your role will be critical in establishing consistent data standards and reference architectures across our organization. You will work with both OLTP and OLAP technologies, including Data Warehousing and Data Lakehouse, to create robust data management strategies that drive AI/ML initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in defining data architecture and collaborating with agile teams to ensure best practices in data platform development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish data architecture standards for OLTP and OLAP environments.
• Define reference data architecture and ensure best practices are adopted across the organization.
• Create and implement strategies for data migration, database optimization, and architectural solutions for analytics projects.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex data challenges in OLAP/OLTP environments and Enterprise-level Applications using Azure Data Platform.

Who You Are:

• 10+ years of Information Technology experience.
• 5-10 years in Enterprise data architecture, data management, and strategy.
• 5-7 years in cloud database technologies.
• 7-10 years of experience specifically as a data architect.
• Deep understanding of database strengths and weaknesses, influencing key decisions.
• Expertise in creating various data models (ER, logical, physical, conceptual).
• Experience in data modeling for operational and analytical datastores.
• Proficient in designing batch and streaming data ingestion processes.
• Knowledge of data quality, lineage, and cataloging solutions.
• Acumen in solving performance challenges across diverse data environments.
• Experience with SOA data layers and exposing data through web services.
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools and data mart architecture.
• Ability to communicate the value of data architecture to stakeholders and senior management.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL for high availability and disaster tolerance.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Cloud Native ecosystems, and data technologies is a bonus.
• Deep experience in data governance, storage, security, and resilience.
• Knowledge of Informatica IICS task flows is desirable.
• Experience with various databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
• Proficient with Azure services, Data Lake, Databricks, SQL, ETL, and MDM.
• Experience in business intelligence tools, preferably Power BI or Qlik.
• Track record in designing large-scale, high-performing enterprise systems.

Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Familiarity with Agency Management systems like Applied EPIC and Vertafore Sagitta.
• Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Azure Data Engineer.
• Experience and certification in Databricks.
